Forrest Yoga

Forrest Yoga was created by master yogi Ana Forrest.

The practice of Forrest Yoga is complete and vigorous. Each practice is designed to be focused on different areas and

issues of the body, as you hold the poses and connect to a

deep breathing, the practice becomes a movement meditation, where you are aware of sensations, and can start to track and follow stuck emotions and trauma in the body, transforming the experience on the mat into a tool for daily life.

The deep breath work, releasing the neck and the abdominal exercises are fundamental for the practice of Forrest yoga, to

hold and connect during the poses, to strengthen the body and

the mind.

Forrest yoga teaches how to practice with integrity, allowing the students to find their own edges and giving them options in

different poses, so one can choose what's best for the physical

and emotional injuries during each class.  

And as Ana Forrest would say “use your bullshit as a fertilizer”, meaning use those hard, painful experiences to grow into your

best version

The sequence is created and designed specifically based on the student's needs, whether it be for injury recovery or to satisfy their curiosity in delving deeper into the practice while being guided and held in a safe space. The class can last between 75 to 90 minutes.

​

A personal yoga class offers several benefits, such as gaining a better understanding of your physical body, learning to listen to what your body needs to create space, and discovering various breath techniques that can be used on and off the mat.

​

Throughout the private class, I will use my hands to assist and guide you deeper into the sensations of the body, creating more awareness as you move and breathe.

​

During Savasana, I guide a meditation that is connected to the theme of the class. I will also do Reiki using my hands, letting the energy to flow, as you release.
